Laser Eye Surgery
Centre for Sight are one of the leading providers of laser eye surgery in the UK and known for their introduction of new technology including Intralasik and Zyoptix. Since being established in 1996, we have become highly regarded nationally and internationally with a recognised team of experts. Always at the forefront of technological advancement and innovation, our expert surgeons are highly sought after to lecture all over the world. Centre for Sight's surgeons bring an in-depth knowledge of a wide range of vision correction procedures and have a well deserved reputation for providing care in extreme and unusual cases deemed too complex by other institutions. Our highly trained specialists are also well known as troubleshooters, correcting less than ideal outcomes. A large number of procedures are offered including IntraLASIK laser eye surgery with Zyoptix Wavefront, Wavefront Aspheric, Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK), epi-LASIK and LASEK (Laser Sub-epithelial Keratectomy), and every consultation is performed by a specialist eye surgeon ensuring personalised and customised laser eye surgery for each patient.
Cataract Surgery
Thanks to modern surgical techniques, the safety, standards of visual outcome and recovery time of cataract surgery is extremely rapid. All cataract surgery at Centre for Sight is focussed on vision correction, improving at minimum distance vision without glasses. All of our procedures are performed by General Medical Council (GMC) registered specialists and fellowship-trained consultants. Lens exchange surgery, sometimes called PRELEX (Presbyopia lens exchange) or Refractive Lens Exchange, involves the implantation of a range of different lenses including CrystaLens, Acri.LISA, Tecnis Multifocal and ReSTOR. This will typically correct near vision and age-related reading problems (Presbyopia) even better than laser eye surgery. The procedure is similar to cataract surgery and thus eliminates the need for this procedure in the future. It's this variety of vision corrective procedures including refractive lens exchange and laser eye surgery - not to mention our unparalleled dedication to service and quality that keeps Centre for Sight at the forefront of the corrective eye surgery.
Corneal Transplantst
Centre for Sight's consultants are all fellowship trained corneal specialists amongst the most experienced with medical and surgical treatment of corneal conditions including the most modern methods of performing corneal transplants. We are proud to be recognised internationally as leaders in this field and clients are referred to us by other surgeons including other corneal surgeons from all over the world. Procedures offered include Deep Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty (DALK) for Keratoconus and Descemets Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSAEK) and corneal transplants performed using the highly accurate Intralase Femtosecond laser. Our surgeons also have special expertise in high risk transplantation as well as breakthrough work in stem cell transplantation for the restoration of the ocular surface.
Implantable Contact Lenses
Whether you have a high prescription or are unsuitable for laser eye surgery, implantable contact lenses (ICL) or the Artiflex/ Veriflex lenses could be the perfect option and have become very popular alternatives sought out by our patients. Implantable contact lenses often provide demonstrably superior results to laser eye surgery and feature the added benefit of being a completely reversible procedure, with the lenses able to be surgically removed should the need arise. This process has been performed regularly at Centre for Sight since 2001.
Vision Correction Surgery

Patient Testimonials
Sarah Evans
IntraLASIK Aspheric
This was a procedure that I had thought about very carefully as well as researched. Acquaintances have had laser surgery elsewhere but I can honestly say I would not have considered having this surgery anywhere else but at the Centre for Sight under the care of Mr Khan.
Both during the consultation and on the day of surgery itself, Mr Khan explained all steps of the procedure and was very reassuring.
Two days after surgery I am amazed and delighted at how little discomfort there has been, and have just been assessed with better than 20/20 vision.
I should like to thank Mr Khan and his team for how professionally and efficiently all aspects of surgery, and both pre and post-care have been carried out.
